This year was the third year that ErosArts was in attendance at the German Fetish Ball, and we were introduced to a new city: Hamburg. In the north of Germany, this town would be our home for five days. At one point we were concerned that it might be longer than that because of that damned Icelandic volcano. Luckily for us, ol’ Eyjafjallajokull held out just long enough for us to get home safely. We hope that our friends who attended the GFB also got home safely.

This year we planned better than in years past and we arrived early enough to get over our jet lag. On our second night, we had a lovely dinner at a local Greek restaurant with some old friends and a few new ones. Notably, this restaurant was quite keen on getting everyone at the table liquored up with at least five free rounds of ouzo shots. (Lady Venus is Greek, and she knew well enough not to suck down that pernicious, licorice-flavored fire water.) Others at our table did not make the same decision, however, and we got louder and louder with each round of liquid flame. One of our dinner guests was the lovely Dante Posh and her polite French slave. Dante was nice enough to let me and several others at the table use the shock collar that was attached to his balls. Damn, I love CBT so much!!!! Some new friends were also at the table. One of them was the folks from Masters in Steel, including the fantastic fetish dog Georgia. (We love you, Georgia!) Also, Katia (not in her typical fabulous latex fetish gear) joined us for our dinner. After quite a lot of good food and a lot of ouzo, we retired for the night.

The next day was the first day of the fetish fair. Oh, the vendors that were there! It was a veritable orgasm of fabulosity! Again, many friends from past GFB weekends were present, including the guys from Latex 101, Honeyhair, Tony Mitchell of, and the lovely Miss Carina of Burlesque Couture. (If you haven’t seen Carina’s hats, you MUST have a look. They are fantastic!) Some other gorgeous latex designers like Rubber 55, HW Design, Cyberesque, and Body Cult also displayed their beautiful and colorful creations. In fact, we found Kumi at the HW Design booth modeling a sexy latex cat suit and, at one point, a transparent latex balloon hood. Michael happily saw Marie Kalista floating around the fair. Also, a new latex company, RubberLuv was there. Chris and Shirley were lovely and there were some gorgeous creations in their store. My favorite was the bright pink skirt that was short in the front and long (to cover one’s large butt, perhaps) in the back.

After a little shopping, we went back to the hotel to rest before the pre-party Fetish Decadence on Friday night. Friday’s party was held at Catonium. For you pony lovers, if you weren’t there, you missed a super hot pony show. Anna Rose was a delightfully decorated pony girl wearing her best pony shoes. Her trainer then came out and began to adorn her in more and more pony gear. First the front pony hooves, then the bit, reins, harness, and tail, and during this time the poor pony girl was electrically stimulated with a toy in her pussy. The final touches were a pony head and saddle, and then her trainer rode his lovely pony around the stage, a fitting end to the pony show. Throughout the Friday night event, everyone was decked out in their very best fetish gear, though again, some folks were not keen on having their photos taken. (People, can you please tell me why you refuse photos if you are TOTALLY COVERED IN LATEX?! I don’t get it.)

Last year ErosArts won a European Fetish award. At the Fetish Ball on Saturday night more awards were presented. I’m sorry to say that I don’t yet have the list of this year’s winners, but you will find them on the award website. The trophies were handed out by the beautiful face of the GFB, Marie Kalista. What would a German Fetish Ball be without a fashion show? Some of the best designers showed their newest collections, featuring many great models. Retro uniform looks, corsets in all manner of textiles, pasties, hats, stockings, translucent colored latex, and high heels were featured. Most happily, there was a lot of color in the shows and many different textures in the looks. Designers who presented during this year’s fashion show included: Cyberesque, HMS latex, HW Design, Naucler Design, Rub Addiction, and Velda Lauder.

Interestingly, this year seemed to have quite a good number of gas masks that were meant for children (creepy!), but were made into pouches, cod pieces, and bras. I guess that the fetish designers are into re-purposing and recycling old items. Way to be green!! Michael’s favorite bit of the Saturday night party had to have been massaging the tired feet of Ancilla Tilia. (Michael’s note: Yep – that was the highlight, although I think she was kind of out of it by that time!)

Of course, we’d be remiss if we did not mention that was our generous benefactor in supporting our trip to this year’s GFB. They were one of the primary sponsors of the first German Fetish Ball in Hamburg. See you in Hamburg next year!

German Fetish Ball 2009

Photos by Michael Diamond and Lady Venus has recently been offline, due to a large number of websites originating in China which have hotlinked images from our website – sucking our bandwidth and crashing our sites. We’re happy to have finally resolved the issue, and have moved to a new server. We’re sorry for those of you who have been looking for photos from the 2009 German Fetish Ball, and have been disappointed to see that nothing has been posted since the event.

2009 German Fetish Ball

This year is the last year that the German Fetish Ball will be in Berlin. In 2010, the host city will be Hamburg. To attend the final Berlin GFB weekend is an honor and I’d like to thank both and René (from Xklusiv) for making it happen. This year Michael was able to join me. I felt at ease in Berlin, though not exactly an expert, so it was great showing Michael the places I saw last year.

We were apprehensive about the weather forecast (rainy!!) when we checked it from home, but Friday was actually quite lovely and we took some time to walk off our stiffness from over 10 hours of being in a plane. Having arrived on Friday, we were a little too tired to attend the Kinky Cocktails party that night. We figured getting a good night’s sleep would be a better option for us. The time difference just kills me now that I am getting older!

Saturday we got up and had a little breakfast before heading out to the Fair. It was held in a different venue than last year’s Fair, and this location had a great vibe to it. It was sort of industrial, but also kind of homey. There were a lot of great little locations that would have made for interesting photo sessions. Of course, we saw a lot of our friends, including Rubber Sisters and Latex 101, but we also made some new friends. The BodyCult folks are some very talented people. Their designs are different from that are typically seen in the fetish world. Their pieces are colorful and some of the latex is textured with vertical stripes or even a sort of animal print. As much as I adore black latex, I find that it is so much more exciting to photograph colorful pieces. They combine latex with other textiles like a beautiful red plaid fabric or a green camouflage. Not only does it reduce the cost considerably compared to a design made strictly of latex, but it also is something fresh and unexpected.

We ran into our friend Tim Woodward and before long we were all treated to a little bondage show from Ropemarks. I can scarcely tie my shoes, so I really enjoy watching a good rigger at work. Bob suspended his lovely assistant, Chantal, from a giant winch and she was at least 20 feet in the air. I always get nervous watching these shows, but it ended safely and she seemed quite in bliss.

A short walk later we found ourselves in a nice area of Berlin with a yummy noodle stand, so we took a little break. The buildings piqued Michael’s interest, so off we went to take some photos. Unfortunately, it did start raining, but we were safely on the train by that time. When we ended up near our stop, the skies finally opened and we stood stranded in the train station waiting for the rain to slow. A little bit of time in the hotel lapsed before we were on our way to the next event: Revolution at the KitKat Club.

Last year’s Revolution party was also at the KitKat Club, so I knew that it would be a great party. This nonsmoker appreciated the outside area with the pool for a little cool, fresh air. The club was packed full and we were excited to get some beautiful photos to share with you. Michael photographed a freakshow performance featuring nails being hammered into nostrils, nipple weights bearing more weight than any nipple ever should, and a glass walker. The show’s finale showcased fire play, which is always fun to photograph. There were loads of sweaty bodies gyrating to the loud music and before too long, we were hit by jet lag and we made a hasty retreat back to the hotel for a little sleep.

Sunday was the main event: the 2009 German Fetish Ball at Matrix. On our arrival at the club, we were excited (and quite surprised) to learn that we had been nominated for a European Fetish Award in the Best Idea category. Okay, that was pretty cool. Then we crowded around the main stage and we learned that our free social network site – was the winner of the Best Idea category. Considering that we haven’t yet been live with for a whole year yet, we were floored to learn of our win. To those who nominated and voted for, THANK YOU!! (If you don’t know what is, now is a great time for you to come check us out and learn more.)

This year’s fashion show lineup included Savage Wear, Pony Maedchen, Rubber 55, Tatjana Warnecke, and Blacklickorish Latex. The trend seemed to be colorful latex and sleek military-style dresses. As always, the Tatjana Warnecke show did not disappoint. I am still marveling at the crazy-high boots worn during the show. We have covered many fetish fashion shows, but this show was more of a story telling than a typical catwalk show where the models scurry out, pose, and then scurry backstage for their next outfit.

After a short break, the stage was covered with a tarp and some white sheeting for the Ropemarks vs. Kumi show. This time, the rigger was not Bob doing the rigging, it was his partner Chantal (who was tied up earlier at the Fair). It seems that anytime a tarp is placed on the ground, all of the photographers gathered around the stage cringe a little at the thought of some kind of liquid ending up on our camera lenses. (We’ve personally been splashed with water, whipped cream, soapy suds, milk, latex lube, octopus ink, and paint.) Chantal was painting a hanging canvas, but Kumi was playing the role of an unhelpful brat quite well. Before long, Kumi was restrained by Chantal’s ropes and then Kumi became the canvas. It seems that almost every time we see Kumi on stage, she is tied up and covered with some kind of messy liquid like octopus ink or paint. Perhaps that is the only way to tame this feisty fetish beauty?

When the shows wrapped up, Michael and I walked around to photograph the über sexy party guests, all of whom were dressed to impress. The majority of the guests were decked out in their finest latex fashions. Happily, there were some friends at this party like the Swedes (, Honey Hair and David, Alexander Horn, Tim Woodward, Tony Mitchell, and super hot Catwoman Katrina (whom I had met the night before at the KitKit Club).

Michael and I wisely decided not to fly back to the US the next morning (unlike many other parties we attend), so we slept late and took a superb walking tour of Berlin. As I said before, next year’s venue for the German Fetish Ball will be Hamburg. The face of the GFB for 2010 is French fetish model Marie Kalista. This sexy newcomer couldn’t be a better choice – especially as far as Michael is concerned. Finally, we’d be remiss if we didn’t thank, for sending us to Berlin and also René for his gracious hospitality. We’ll see you next year in Hamburg!

The German Fetish Ball 2008

Photos and review by Lady Venus (LV)

This year I was honored to photograph at the German Fetish Ball weekend in Berlin. I have visited Berlin before, but I never had the chance to see any of the fetish world. My visit was for the Venus.Berlin shows in October and they are more of a porn-themed event. I was excited to have the chance to get to know the Berlin fetish scene and take some time to be a tourist in the city.

Interestingly, my first night in Berlin was spent at a club called Insomnia, which, I have been told, is more of a sex club than anything. Since all I wanted to do was sleep (due to jet lag), but I couldn’t, being at a club named Insomnia seemed terribly appropriate. Several times I was told that photography was prohibited in some of the rooms, and that I should take care in photographing attendees. That said, I decided to plant myself on a comfortable couch and simply watch the festivities. There were several play rooms (the upstairs room limited only to couples) that would have been beautiful in photographs, but taking photos was verboten. I am sure that some would have permitted me to photograph them; however, since I know nearly no German, it was nearly impossible to communicate my desire to photograph discreetly.

Finally, however, Dominique, the hostess of the evening’s event, came out with two lovely ladies and they began a performance that was exciting and different than most anything that I have seen in the States. Performances in the U.S. are very different than those that I see in the EU. In the U.S. there can be no uncovered nipples or genitals, and certainly there can be no actual sexual activities. Well, if you have not yet been to a non-U.S. party, please be aware that those rules go right out the window! Most of the performance was so graphic that the photos I took will never see the light of day. You see, certain acts are not permitted on U.S. web sites, even if they occur ex-U.S.

Dominique, a statuesque blonde, was dressed as a perverted clown and her devious lady accomplice was similarly dressed, though she wore a checkerboard bodysuit that exposed her large breasts. The two clowns took turns molesting a pretty blonde who wore sexy rainbow over-the-knee socks and a lime green skirt. What exactly did they do to her? Well, you can see a little of the festivities in the photo gallery, but if you can’t wait, then let me enlighten you. There was kissing, sucking of a large strap on cock, strap on fucking, fucking the blonde girl with a giant cock on the end of a pole, double penetration, and, finally, both clowns fist fucked the blonde. This was not a gentle, loving scene, people. It was a dynamic and passionate dance that left this photographer wishing that the U.S. laws did not restrict photographs of fisting. Seriously, the show was incredible, even though I cannot use over half of the photos that were taken. After the show ended, I decided to pack up my gear and head back to the hotel to try to beat the looming jet lag.

My second day in Berlin sent me over to the German Fetish Fair. The venue showcased some of the most popular fetish vendors. There was a lot of latex, as one would expect. It seems that hats are the most sought-after accessory and there were many booths that showcased them. I saw several familiar faces and met lots of new friends. Luckily, it seemed that many folks spoke better English than I speak German, so I was able to communicate my desire to take photos to lots of folks. Of course, waving my camera in their general direction is another way to let them know I want to take a picture. Most were willing to allow me to photograph them, unlike the previous evening.

I ran into Rubberdoll, who was doing a little shopping. Also, I took a few photos of super sexy fetish model (and contortionist!) Zlata blowing up a balloon. I then snapped a few photos of Aurora on a lime green cherry picker. Because of the miserable exchange rate of the U.S. dollar to the Euro, I made only one small purchase: a black plastic mask. Knowing that I had to photograph the Revolution party later that night, I left around 5:00 to go back to my hotel and rest just a little before meeting up with Belgium Marc and two of his friends for dinner.

After a tasty Italian dinner, I headed back to the hotel to get dressed for the party. It was held at the Kit Kat Club. There was a pool and a deck outside, but very few people braved the chilly water. A few brave souls who did jump in, though! I was glad for the outdoor respite from the hot and smoke-filled indoor areas. This evening, more people were willing to let me photograph them, so I was happy and felt that I had a purpose in attending. The venue had several different rooms, so there was always something to see. There were several different performances, but I know that I missed at least some of them. There was a burlesque dancer doing a seductive striptease, a sexy gal putting a grinder to her crotch to give off a fountain of sparks, and a hot redhead smoking a cigarette and then spitting fire. In another room, Amrita did a suspension of a pretty brunette girl (I think her name is Eden) before briefly using her as a swing. I heard that this was Eden’s very first suspension, but it looked as if she was enjoying herself quite a lot! As usual, I saw some familiar faces, and I was glad to see them because they love having their photos taken! Additionally, I met some nice new folks who also allowed me to photograph them, the couple from Breathless ( I would also like to thank a very friendly group of latex-wearing Swedes who also humored me and allowed me to photograph them.

The Fetish Ball was on Sunday night at Matrix, a club with beautiful arched brick ceilings and no less than five different rooms, each featuring different music. I came to the German Fetish Ball to photograph the fashion shows, but part of the fun of photographing an event is to photograph the attendees. Sadly, however, I had little luck obtaining photos of most of the people there. Many people refused to let me take their photos, even some who were completely encased in latex! (Again, many thanks to the Swedes and the others in the crowd who permitted me to snap their photos!!)

The fashion show lineup was impressive and the festivities were kept moving along by Mistress of Ceremonies Rubberdoll. The shows were non-stop for what I believe to be a solid two hours! Featured designers included Bondinage, Libidex, Burlesque Couture, Provoqué, Tatjana Warnecke, Favor, and Torture Garden. The European Fetish Awards were hosted by Luci van Org, where designer Atsuko Kudo was honored. Also, rather unexpectedly, Beyoncé Knowles (yes, the one from Destiny’s Child!!) even received an award. Unfortunately, she was not in attendance; however, I assume that the award is now safely on its way to her. Rubberdoll did double-duty as both hostess of the evening’s events as well as a performer. FAQ vs. Rubberdoll ended the fashion show festivities with an exciting performance that had music, strap ons, latex, a wheelchair, confetti guns, and a giant whipped cream-spewing red cock. What else could you ask for, people?? The music in each room was different, so you could either chill out or get your groove on, depending on exactly what your mood was.

After a very long weekend with next to no sleep, I was both happy and sad that the German Fetish Ball weekend was over. I was happy because I finally got some sleep, but I was sad that the weekend had ended. An extra day’s stay in Berlin gave me some time to take a walking tour of the city to learn more about its fascinating history.

Finally, I would like to thank René for his hospitality and for sponsoring both the German Fetish Ball and my trip to photograph it. I hope to come back next year!
